UN Flag Day 2026
Today, Weidmann Medical Technology celebrates the 11th anniversary of the United Nations’ establishment of the Sustainable Development Goals by flying its SDG Flag. #SDGs
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, is a shared roadmap towards a more sustainable and inclusive world. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action with the aim of eradicating poverty, protecting the planet, and promoting peace and prosperity for all. The goals cover a wide range of issues, including climate change, education, gender equality, and clean water and sanitation.
Among other #SDGs, Weidmann Medical is committed to improving infrastructure and implementing innovation in our industry (#SDG9). Recent investments, including highly automated production lines in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, and Saltillo, Mexico, help us bring complex medical products into stable, scalable serial production, demonstrating this commitment in action. Weidmann Medical also supports responsible consumption and production (#SDG12) through conscientious supply chain management in compliance with our Responsible Sourcing Policy.
The SDG Flag Day campaign was launched in 2020 and has grown in popularity every year. Since 2023, more than 300 flags have been raised in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Organizations, businesses, municipalities, schools, and governments worldwide show that they are part of this global movement for a better world.
Together with the @UN Global Compact Network Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Weidmann Medical is proud to raise the SDG flag in support of #Agenda2030.
